Woolacombe Sunsets

Potters Hill, over Woolacombe Bay, North Devon at sunset.

This actually happened on our summer trip to Devon with all of this other chaos on this post. But it was such a quiet and peaceful little moment away from all the noise and energy of the rest the trip it felt like it had set itself aside in my memory and so it got it’s own little post on here. Here’s my biggest girl and I. The one who could just about handle a slightly later night than the other two in order to get her up this hill for sunset. Lundy Island on the horizon. A whole hill to ourselves to enjoy the view over the beach littered with chip eaters and boisterous seagulls. Just me being a Mum who’s so grateful for a minute to inhale one child at a time and a kid who can scale a steep hill like a mountain goat.

I won’t ever forget this and I will always be grateful for photography, creativity and the means to share it as it exists in my heart. I really am so very grateful for this creative life I choose.

  1. Such beautiful photos! It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen a decent sunset here in Sligo Hopefully over the Christmas we can go down to our local beach. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 Aiva
