Winter Exposures

Layer Mill, Essex

Layer Mill was a little local treasure found in those many many days of the first lockdown. Back when the sun shone for so long surprised us and all but all we had to do with it was walk and walk. You turn off the “main road” (in very rural terms) of our little village down a no through road that increasingly feels like a private drive. The gravel gets bumpier under foot the further down you go and little treasure pop up along the way.
