Textures of Time

I love how old things crumble. And doesn’t the salt air and coastal wind do it more gracefully than anything? The fading, cracking, peeling, rusting and crumbling down. The beautiful returning to earth. I love how it all suggests stories and brims with a life lived. How we lean in to things that sit in […]

Winter Exposures

Layer Mill, Essex Layer Mill was a little local treasure found in those many many days of the first lockdown. Back when the sun shone for so long surprised us and all but all we had to do with it was walk and walk. You turn off the “main road” (in very rural terms) of […]

Woolacombe Sunsets

Potters Hill, over Woolacombe Bay, North Devon at sunset. This actually happened on our summer trip to Devon with all of this other chaos on this post. But it was such a quiet and peaceful little moment away from all the noise and energy of the rest the trip it felt like it had set […]

Orlee Bea. Lazy school holiday days.
On the swimming lesson run. Worst times to stop. Getting used to having the camera on the car seat next to me. I think pausing in the chaos is the hardest part and the most valuable lesson to learn in all this. Funny how the least necessary of things don’t feel worth doing and vice versa.
Restarting the 365 for April 1st. Because personal projects have just one rule that’s they’re yours and you’re the boss. Starting softly with a couple of very quick selfies to test out a new wide angle. Ready to get creative.
Sheep fields and pylons and something that’s starting to look like light I want to photograph. Jesus this grey dull winter has killed off my personal shooting. 🙄 British weather you’d better have something decent up your sleeve for this summer because WE ARE ALL FED UP OF THIS SHIT! 😝
The kids and their badges. ❄️🏅
Ski breaks. ❄️☕️🍷
